Acer Aspire One AOA110-1137 Black Netbook is a 8.9-inch netbook designed in Onyx Black color housing equipped with 3-cell battery.

This netbook has smooth surface which is comfortable to touch and accented with distinctive details, such as the attractive orange hinge ring. It is aimed for business professionals, students and world travelers; who requires operating systems with wireless connectivity and Internet at all times.
It is a mini notebook packed with technology features measuring 8.9-inch and weighs 2.2 lbs. It is installed with Windows XP Home Edition and powered by 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Processor N270 (512KB L2 cache, 1.60GHz, 533MHz FSB). Also, it is equipped with 1GB (512MB onboard/512MB SODIMM slot) DDR2 533 SDRAM, 16 GB of storage comprising of an 8 GB internal NAND flash memory drive and an included 8 GB SDHC memory card, WSVGA (1024 x 600) TFT display supporting 262K color depth, Acer CrystalBrite Technology, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, 54g Wi-Fi networking (802.11b/g), 10/100 Ethernet , multi-format memory card reader, multiple USB ports, and built-in email, web browsing, and digital media applications, 3 cell battery and 1.3 megapixel camera that functioned as a webcam.

Acer Aspire One AOA110-1137 Black Netbook is suitable to cater business and executive traveler as it offers all the notebook capabilities but in a small form factor and lighter than normal notebook. It is built with 8.9-inch CrystalBrite WSVGA LED backlit display that features glossy look. In addition, it is equipped with integrated webcam for easy video chatting via instant messaging service provider. It supports all instant messaging providers including Yahoo! Messenger, AOL Online, MSN Messenger and Gtalk.
In addition, it is equipped with the 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor which uses a brand new design structure new hafnium-infused circuitry that reduces electrical current leakage in transistors. It is packed with 47 million transistors into a single chip sized at just 22mm (0.87 inches), and it uses just 2.5 watts of power which is less than 1/10 of the 35 watts used by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Not only that, it comes with a power-optimized front side bus of 533 MHz for faster data transfer on demanding mobile applications and a 512 KB L2 cache. Thus, it conserves energy as well as offers more productivity.
Furthermore, for the mean of storage, it is equipped with 8 GB of NAND flash memory solid-state drive (SSD), which is adequate for students and those who want to use the laptop primarily as an email and web surfing device. Faster and more reliable, flash memory provides a rapid boot-up and quicker access to applications while improving battery life. Flash memory is also more reliable than hard disk memory, mainly because there are no moving parts. Plus, it comes with an 8 GB Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) memory card and user can expand memory card storage by slotting in memory card into the memory card reader.
It is equipped with 3-cell battery that let user to have up to 2.5 hours of working hours. Even more, it is built with 1 GB RAM and can be expanded to 1.5 GB. The 1 GB RAM comprises of (512 MB onboard memory and one 512 MB DIMM, 533 MHz.
As for connectivity, it offers three USB 2.0 ports for connecting a wide range of peripherals including digital cameras, camcorders, MP3 players and mobile phones. Also, it provides a Secure Digital (SD) card reader that also compatible with MultiMedia cards (MMCs). The multi-in-one card reader supports SD, MMC, Memory Stick/Memory Stick PRO, and XD Picture Cards. In addition, it provides a VGA monitor port. Also, there are a headphone jack for private listening or for user to connect the netbook to a speaker system; and a microphone jack allowing user to have voice conversation via VOiP such as Skype or online messaging. Plus, if offers RJ-45 port for 10/100 Fast Ethernet connection and a 56K modem port (V.90).
In term of graphic, the 8.9-inch screen has a WSVGA resolution (1024 x 600) and support for up a 262K color depth. Video is powered by the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, which uses shared video memory with the main memory. Acer’s CrystalBrite display technology guarantees the best possible visual experience by preventing the diffusion of surrounding light and internal ray. Compared to normal TFT LCDs, Acer CrystalBrite technology is able to read color coordinates more accurately, thus minimizing distortion and creating high-fidelity colors in all environments. In term of sound, it comes with an integrated audio card with Microsoft DirectSound compatibility, and two integrated stereo speakers.
