Garmin nuvi 760 GPS is an advanced navigation GPS device for in-car usage. It is equipped with navigation features as well as features a widescreen display, preloaded maps, an FM transmitter, hands-free calling and traffic alerts. Being a model in n¸vi 700-series, it is installed with navigation capabilities, like route planning and an emergency locator.

The nuvi 760 GPS is built with widescreen display that lets user to view map detail, driving directions and photos in larger view and brighter colors. It is sunlight-readable and measures 4.3î of display. Besides that, it is preloaded with street maps and millions of points of interest (POIs) such as hotels, restaurants, fuel stations, ATMs and more depending on the local dealer. By a simple touch and enter of destination, user is provided 2-D or 3-D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. Moreover, it also lets user to set custom points of interest, such as school zones and safety cameras and allows user to set proximity alerts whenever approaching upcoming POIs. Plus, some versions are loaded with safety camera database. Adding to that, it features “Where Am I?î and with a single tap. User can find the closest hospitals, police stations, fuel stations, nearest address and intersection. Even more, it provides exact latitude and longitude coordinates. It is also capable to remember user parking lot, thus giving user the option to find way back to the vehicle while on foot. It is also equipped with advanced navigational features which include allowing user to save 10 routes, specify via points and preview simulated turns on the 760’s wide screen. Furthermore, it automatically sorts multiple destinations to provide an efficient route for errands, deliveries or sales calls; as well as displays speed limits for highways and Interstates. It is installed with a trip log which provides an electronic bread crumb trail of up to 10,000 points. Adding to that, it is integrated with BluetoothÆ wireless technology with a built-in microphone and speaker for hands-free calling. User can use it with a compatible Bluetooth phone and user can talk hands-free through the 760 while staying focused on the road. Also, user can make call by just dial the numbers on the touchscreen keypad to make a call. As to answer call, user has to tap the screen and speak directly hands-free. Moreover, it is installed with high-sensitivity internal (non flip-up) antenna that delivers sleek and thin design than the previous n¸vi 600-series, thus making this handheld GPS device can be easily kept inside the pocket. It uses rechargeable lithium-ion battery which makes it is a convenient GPS device while on the road as well on foot. Not only navigation features, it also features entertainment and travel functions as well. It is installed with MP3 player, audio book player (subscription to Audible.com required), JPEG picture viewer, currency converters and more. Additionally, user can view photos via n¸vi’s picture viewer and user can also download GoogleÆ Panoramioô pictures via Garmin Connectô Photos website and navigate to those pictures. Not only that, it is equipped with wireless FM transmitter that lets user to listen to FM radio broadcast to enjoy music as well as get news update. It is a convenient feature while travelling. Also, user can listen to audio including voice prompts, MP3s and audio books, via the vehicleís stereo. It is also equipped with security features that include Garmin Lockô, an anti-theft feature.

The Garmin Lockô is compatible with Garmin Garage which can download via Garmin website. With the software, it will show user location on the map. Optional software on plug-and-play SD cards for language translation, detailed travel guide and savings program which let user to customize the device to fulfill user travel needs. With ecoRouteô, it calculates a more fuel-efficient route for a greener route alternative. It also lets user to tune into XMÆ Navtraffic & Radio. The GPS handheld is equipped with world travel clock, currency and unit converter and also a calculator. The unit measures 4.8″ x 3.0″ x .8″ (12.2 x 7.6 x 2.0 cm) (W x H x D) in dimension and has a display size of 3.81″ x 2.25″ (9.7 x 5.7 cm) (W x H) with 4.3″ diagonally (10.9 cm). The screen delivers 480 x 272 pixels of resolution and uses WQVGA color TFT with white backlight for its display. It weighs 6.2 ounces (176 g). It uses rechargeable lithium-ion and enables to stay up to 5 hours.
