What It Offers
It also offers improved view finder coverage, 3D focus tracking, ultrasonic sensor cleaning, a large buffer, Active D-lighting, in-camera RAW development, Vibration Reduction, HDMI connectivity, Multi-CAM 1000 11-point system which consists of Scene recognition System, Picture Control and one-button Live View with Face priority AF. The D90 offers 12 megapixels CMOS chip with self cleaning abilities able to provide Live View feed and record still and moving pictures. The sensor is engineered with high-frequency vibration capabilities that will shake off any non-adhesive dust particles that may have accumulated on the low-pass filter during lens changes theoretically. The D-Movie mode captures moving images at 24 fps through three resolutions mode, 320×216, 640×424 and a high definition 1280×720, in JPEG AVI format with mono audio and stored in either Secure Digital (SD) or SD High Capacity memory card (SDHC). Maximum size for a single movie clip is 2 gigabytes. It also offers continuous full-resolution still images shooting at 4.5fps. The 3” TFT LCD 920000 dots monitor displays menu and controls as well as captured images and doubles as an optical TTL pantaprism view finder. The One of the functions, 11 Auto focus point, is permanently displayed on the screen while grid lines are available via menu option. Alert signs such as low battery, black and white capture mode and un-detected memory card are shown when necessary. The rest of the 11 Auto Focus modes are auto mode, single point, dynamic area and 3D-tracking modes. Theses modes are switchable between each other through Custom Function via the four-way pad.
Comes With
The D90 comes with an ISO 200, built-in speedlight with a guide number of 17 (meters). The flash will be utilized when necessary in auto mode but switches automatically to user control in other shooting modes. The integrated flash also doubles as a fill light able to control external wireless flash units. Modes such as TTL, Auto or Manual are possible to regulate for these external flash groups through the built-in flash individually or collectively. Captured images and video clips can be displayed externally via High Definition TV through HDMI output. A port for the optional GPS-1 accessory allows the D90 to store location, date and time and altitude details in EXIF data format complete the package.

The D90 dSLR Digital Camera from Nikon is a single-lens reflex digital camera with Nikon F mount with AF coupling and contacts. It features a Nikon DX format lens with 1.5x focal length, 23.6 x 15.8 mm CMOS sensor that supports high sensitivity and high-speed data with 12.3 effective megapixels. It also features Image sensor cleaning, noise reduction with high ISO of 0.3 and higher.
D90 Kit
The D90 Kit comes with the DX 18-105mm VR lens with 5.8 range equivalent to 27-158mm that also features Vibration Reduction. The lens is electronically controlled with instant and quick return mirror. The D90 is also compatible with DX AF Nikkor, AF Nikkor, Type G or D AF Nikkor and Non-CPU lenses. Captured still images are stored in NEF, JPEG and NEF + JPEG formats in 4,288 x 2,848 (L), 3,216 x 2,136 (M) and 2,144 x 1,424 (S) pixels while moving images are stored in JPEG AVI format in 640 x 424; 24 fps, 320 x 216; 24 fps and 1280 x 720; 24 fps sizes. All data are stored in Secure Digital (SD) and/or SD High Capacity (SDHC) compliant memory cards. Data write rate is at 14 MB/s with the 1GB Panasonic Pro High Speed SD memory card in large JPEG format. The D90 utilizes DCF, DPOF, Exif 2.21 and PictBridge file system. It also features image comment capabilities through the monitor and multi selector. The D90 also features an eye-level pentaprism single-lens reflex viewfinder, Type B BriteView Clear Matter Mark II screen, with a built in Advanced focusing screen display. It is able to display superimposed grid lines over the screen on demand. It also has a built-in “Vari-Brite” focus area where the colors changes automatically according to various lighting conditions. The 3” TFT LCD view finder has approximately 96% horizontally and 96% vertically frame coverage. The D90 is engineered with electronically controlled, vertical-travel focal-plane shutter with speed of 1/4000-30 s in steps of 1/3 or ½ EV complete with Bulb. Optional wireless Remote Control ML-L3 is required for controlling time. The built in flash can be synchronize with the shutter at 1/2000 s or slower. The shutter can be controlled with various modes such as single frame, continuous low and high speed, self timer, delayed remote, quick response remote via the optional wireless remote control. The D90 also features various shooting modes such as Auto modes, Advanced Scene Modes, programmed auto with flexible program, shutter-priority auto, aperture-priority auto and manual. It uses Hi-Speed USB, PTP transfer protocol interfaces and supports multi lingual menus. It is powered by a single rechargeable Li-ion Battery.
