Nokia E90 Smartphone

Nokia E90 Smartphone is a quad band GSM phone. Its features are 3G network (UMTS 2100), Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11b/g) and GPS receiver.
Nokia E90 Smartphone has two screen displays. The internal primary screen display measures 3.2 inches with TFT LCD display (800 x 352 pixels) up to 16.7 million colors. The external secondary screen display measures 2 inches with color LCD display (240 x 320 pixels). It is flip phone with hinge at the left side of the phone. It supports quad band GSM network service provider and provides quad-band connectivity in the frequency band of 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz and 1900 MHz. The operating system is Symbian OS 9.2 and Symbian Series 60 3.1 Edition. It enables user to browse the Internet and transfer media-rich files via HSDPA (up to 3.6 Mbit/s enabled) and 3G high-speed mobile broadband.
At the top of the phone, below the 2-inch LCD screen are the standard numeric keypad, navigation pad and soft keys. The navigation control is consists of Talk and End keys, two soft buttons, a menu shortcut, a clear button, and a four-way directional toggle with a center select button. By opening the top part up, there are the 3.2 inches screen and the full QWERTY keyboard. A button at the top right-hand corner allows phone profiles switching such as silent mode and to switch off the phone. At right side of the phone, it has a camera button, and a shortcut to a voice recorder. It has a QCIF camera at the top left corner of the internal screen for video calls.
The camera lens and camera flash are located at the back of the phone. It is a built-in 3.2 mega pixel (2048 x 1536 pixels) camera. It is equipped with auto focus feature. It is equipped with function such as LED flash, red-eye reduction option and self timer. It features a number of internal photo editing options including white balance, exposure, contrast, sharpness, and a number of color options such as black and white photographs, sepia or negative. It is able to record video at up to VGA resolution and 30 frames per second. The supported still image format is JPEG. The supported video file formats are 3gp, MPEG-4, H.263 video and AMR audio. The Digital music player supports AAC, MP3, AMR and Real Audio. It has built in stereo FM radio.
It has phone features including voice dialing, voice commands, voice recording, internet call (VoIP), text to speech message reader, SIND, Push to talk (PoC) and text and multimedia messaging. It is also equipped with additional applications such as Quickoffice document viewers (Quickword, Quickpoint, Quicksheet), ZIP Manager and Adobe PDF viewer. It also supports Instant Messenger (IM) applications. User can utilize the “Download!” client to personalize device with add-on applications. It supports Nokia Intellisync Mobile Suite. For messaging, it supports IMAP4, POP3, and SMTP e-mail accounts and comes with full attachment viewer.
It comes with a built-in GPS receiver with support for assisted GPS (A-GPS). It utilized the satellites and cellular triangulation to find position. It comes preloaded with Nokia Maps application, which offers color maps, route planning and points of interest. User can also download maps or installed from PC with Nokia Maploader application. For turn-by-turn directions, upgrade service to the device is needed. The other general applications come with the phone are alarm clock, calendar, reminder, calculator and Personal information management (PIM) such as Nokia Active Notes application and Nokia Team Suite.
It is compatible with Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11b/g). With Wi-Fi, it supports Universal Plug and Play, which allows Wi-Fi connection to hook up with a compatible PC, printer, or home entertainment system. The integrated Wi-Fi connectivity also allows user to make VoIP phone calls over an open network. It offers a variety of security settings such as WPA2-Enterprise, WPA2-Personal, WPA-Enterprise and WPA-Personal.
It is compatible with Bluetooth version 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR). It has a range of Bluetooth profiles for communication headset, hands free car kits, and audio/video remote control. The available Bluetooth profiles are A2DP for music streaming to Bluetooth stereo headphones, HFP for hands-free car kits, HSP for communication headsets, DUN for dial-up networking and FTP file transfer. It also supports Infrared (IrDA) connectivity.
It has 128MB data memory. It supports Micro SD memory cards with memory capacity SD cards up to 4 GB to store video and music files. It measures 2.2 x 0.8 x 5.2 inches in dimensions and weighs 7.4 oz. TheBP-4L 1500mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 300 minutes of talk time, and up to 336 hours of digital standby time. The standard package comes with battery BP-4L, wired stereo headset, travel charger, connectivity cable, memory card, quick start guide, user manual and DVD ROM including Nokia PC suite application.
