The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition is a GPS device that is portable and comes with preloaded maps of the United States and Canada. It supports TomTom MapShare instant map updates, and has 3.5 inch full TFT color LCD touchscreen (320 x 240 pixels, 64,000 colors) for users to view maps in detail.
The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition also features Text-to-speech for spoken street names that allows for hands free navigation, real-time traffic and weather data, features “Help Me” emergency menu, real-time traffic capability, supports 2D and 3D rendering and is powered by an internal lithium-ion battery that provides up to 2 hours of operation time. The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition utilizes a high sensitivity GPS chipset, and is powered by a 32 MB RAM memory with 380 MHz CPU speed. The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition has an internal memory of 1 GB that allows users to store maps and an SD slot (only for additional maps, SD not included) for memory expandability. The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition measures 4.33 x 3.5 x 1.34 inches, weighs less than 10 oz. and has an operating temperature of 14 °F to 131 °F.
The TomTom’s ONE 3rd edition is a portable navigation device that features an updated chipset that provides satellite lock and TomTom’s MapShare technology that lets user add their own map corrections and points of interest. The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition is powered by an internal lithium ion battery that can be charged from the vehicle’s cigarette lighter with the included 12-24V adapter. The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition also features multicolor display for viewing of maps, routes, driving directions, and other traveling information, such as mileage and distance. Measuring 3.5 inches, the TFT display offers a resolution of 320 x 240 to provide two- and three-dimensional graphics. The device also features 32 MB RAM and 380 MHz CPU. The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition provides turn-by-turn voice instructions, providing handsfree convenient directions so that users don’t have to take their eyes off the road while the vehicle is on the move. Voice instructions are available in over 30 languages. The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition also features comedy and celebrity voices available, some for free, and others for purchase via download at TomTom’s website. It also features optional speed-sensitive volume. With this optional feature turned on, the volume adjusts itself according to the user’s vehicle’s engine volume, as it becomes louder or quieter as user speed changes. The TomTom ONE 3rd Edition also features TomTom HOME, which is TomTom’s free software. The TomTom HOME software enables TomTom users to future proof and personalize their devices. Via desktop access, any TomTom customer can update maps, download the latest application, celebrity voices and more. TomTom HOME allows TomTom customers to update their TomTom device with TomTom’s latest software and services automatically and for free, buy and install the latest maps and European safety cameras, download celebrity and character voices, pre-plan trip itineraries and receive free traffic alerts on their computers. The TomTom ONE device comes with a suction mount, car charger, USB 2.0 data cable, and installation CD with connection software and manual.
