Apple seems to be in the news a lot lately even though the iPad release heat is over. The latest news doing the rounds concerning Apple is that the major company will finally reveal its next generation iPhone in June during a conference. This report is based on the fact that Apple tends to announce new products in their presentations or conferences.
Tech sites online are generating further hype concerning the iPhone OS 4 after a few pictures were leaked. Further reports suggest that the iPhone OS 4 will be available soon after the announcement by Apple. Rumor has it that the reason the picture of the phone was leaked was because the device itself was spotted in a California bar. How did it land up there? Apple’s very own engineer, Gray Powell was having a drink there when he forgot the phone. Someone then proceeded to take the phone and sell it to tech site, Gizmodo. More drama happened when Apple came to know about the phone’s existence with the guys over at Gizmodo, Apple hurriedly asked for the phone back. We wouldn’t want to dig more into the drama but let’s hope Apple officially makes an announcement soon.

Let’s face it, when Blackberry released the Storm, they didn’t create any wonders, at least not with the consumers. Then came the Storm 2 which didn’t create any sparks either. Now we are hearing rumors on how Blackberry plans to release a new Storm 3 which is going to be the new Blackberry Tablet.
Blackberry on one hand has been focusing more on other models such as the Curve and Bold phones. RIM has managed to improve the designs on these phones making them into attractive devices thus attracting more buyers. Blackberry used to be the number one provider for smartphones and their standing in the market has slipped over the years with more and more advanced smartphones releasing. If Blackberry wants to regain a steady position in the market and among its consumers, they have to step up their game. Rumor has it that the new Storm will be a touch screen device with a slide out QWERTY keyboard. Let’s wait and see if the rumors are true and whether the new Storm 3 will be a hit.

News around today is that AT&T will be releasing the Dell Aero and Mini 5 soon by June. The new phones, which are both android-powered, are said to be available this summer. Both the Dell Aero and Mini 5 are Dell’s first two devices which work on Google’s Android OS. Both phones come with the same operating system but with different outlooks.
Dell states that the Aero phone will be a low-priced device while the Mini 5 will cost slightly more. The Aero comes with a 3-inch touchscreen and the Mini 5 has an even larger display. AT&T is rumored to release both the Mini 5 and the Aero but no release date was given with a leak stating that it will be around June. Actually, only the Aero has been confirmed to be released by AT&T while the Mini 5 was rumored to be released by the same phone provider. The phones’ prices have not yet been released or leaked but hopefully we’ll have some update soon on this situation.

Since Cisco took over the Flip video camera company, they have been aiming to release more and more versions of its pocket camcorders occasionally. The new addition is the Flip SlideHD which is slightly bigger when it comes to the display and on top of that, it’s a touch screen display measuring at 3 inches.
Different from the others, this camcorder also has “shoot ‘n’ share” abilities that give you the pleasure to first view what you just filmed. Based on the previous model from Cisco, this one seems and looks thicker than the Mino HD.
Cisco believed that their new gadgets must get smaller as people loved to carry small technology around specially when it comes to a camcorder. Many have commented on how the Flip SlideHD Camcorder resembles a toy that looks like a Nintendo DS. The Cisco Flip SlideHD is priced at $279.99. Unfortunately no release date was given for the Cisco Flip SlideHD camcorder.
