When a device like this is released, it makes us realize how fast technology is evolving and how old we are getting. Toshiba unveiled their new camcorder, the BW10, which is a waterproof digital camcorder. Technology has evolved in such a way that digital cameras were made waterproof so were watches and phones and now guess is the time for digital camcorders. We can think of a good use for this one; for people who want to get married underwater, can now have their wedding recorded on video, good use.

Back to the new waterproof digital camcorder, the new Camileo BW10 is built with water protection (which is why it’s waterproof) and is also resistant to many destroying factors such as scratches and shocks. For starters, this digital camcorder comes with a rubber exterior which means that it automatically protects the device from falls or scratches. For this camcorder, you won’t have to worry about it dropping into water at all. The device can record 1080p full HD videos at 30fps. It will be released in June at the price of about $186.

Can the new Sony digital camera pose as heavy competition against other big name cameras? Experts seem to think that this time, Sony’s NEX-7 will have just about the same effect. More on the camera itself, the NEX-7 can shoot full HD resolution (1080p) video at up to 60fps. Sony’s other digital camera; the NEX-5 can shoot full HD resolution (1080p) video at up to 720p at 120fps. Images are expected to be clear while recording in the AVCHD codec in both cameras.

Since Sony has been struggling hard to make a name for itself or rather, to attain a steady place in the market amidst heavy competition, experts claim that the NEX-7 will be the device to watch out for. Some claim that with its type of features, the Sony NEX-7 can stand up on its own to Panasonic’s very own Micro Four Thirds GH2 digital camera. We’ll have to wait for a closer touch on the camera to comment first.

Panasonic unveils three new full-HD camcorders recently for the Arab market. As we all know the Arab countries are full of rich people, really rich over-the-top people, so we see no reason onto why electronics manufacturers should not try their luck. Though come to think of it, to what purpose would serve electronics such as cameras and camcorders? The Arab nations are known to be very sensitive and introverts when it comes to these photographic gadgets. Not the men but the ladies. It is said that you are not allowed to take a woman’s picture there or even film a woman if you are not closely related to her.

Enough on the Arab culture, let’s get on to the cameras. Panasonic has launched the HS60, TM60, and SD60 camcorders in UAE. These camcorders feature 35.7 mm wide-angle lens with 25x optical zoom. It comes with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels which Panasonic claims is the highest in the camcorder market. These camcorders also come with a touchscreen. The Panasonic HS60, TM60, and SD60 camcorders are now available in UAE stores.
