Canon is ‘Japan’s Best Global Brands 2010’

Canon has been named ‘Japan’s Best Global Brands 2010’ by Interbrand. Ranking fourth on this list, this brand is a world-leader in imaging solutions. Though this doesn’t come as surprising news to many, Canon is occupying this spot not for the first time.
Every year, Interbrand will choose the best Japanese brands and rank them in their annual ranking of the 30 most successful Japanese brands, also known as ‘Japan’s Best Global Brands 2010′. Brands that are qualified are all Japanese-made and these brands should be listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Not forgetting the fact that these brands listed should have a well-known public profile globally. Canon definitely fits the bill.
Interbrand has said that Canon managed to reach this position due to the fact that the company has created and sustained a strong worldwide performance in today’s competitive market. Furthermore, Canon’s brand value stands intact from last year at USD10.469 billion.
