First Look at the Canon A490 and A495

Canon A490 and A495
The Canon A490 and A495 are the updated models of Canon’s PowerShot A480. Let’s talk about the models individually. Both cameras shot great pictures when taken in Auto Mode but somehow they do not respond that fast when we take shots continuously. Shooting with both cameras by choosing different shooting modes is nice as both excel in their own right. Unfortunately, the features that we looked forward to in a Canon camera are not present in both cameras. Those are notably the new creative shooting modes–Super Vivid and Poster Effect and a Face Self-Timer.

The Canon PowerShot A495 is available in different colors. It has a 9-point Face AiAF autofocus system. It uses 18 scene settings for its Smart Auto mode. The Canon PowerShot A490 is available in silver. It has a 5-point Face AiAF autofocus system and uses 13 scene settings for its Smart Auto mode.

If you are looking for a nice camera with good ending results, you can try either the A495 or the A490. There’s a $20 difference between these two models.
