Leaf Aptus-II 8 unveiled

Leaf introduced its new medium-format camera back, the Aptus-II 8. The Aptus-II 8 comes with a 40-megapixel and features 7,360×5,562 pixels resolution with a capture rate of under 0.8 seconds per frame. It can sustain a burst of more than 60 resolution shots per minute. It comes with a 1.73 x 1.355-in CCD that features an 80-800 ISO sensitivity range and a 12 f-stop dynamic range. This camera as well as its other models from the Aptus-II series has the medium format camera backs that utilizes touchscreens and the camera back employs a high contrast, 2.36 x 2.76-in LCD. It also comes with a lossless 16-bit file compression which will help to speed up file transfer.
CF card, Bluetooth and FireWire 800 are also present as image storage and transfer depend on them. The Aptus-II 8 supports RAW file format that are used by the Adobe Lightroom and Apple Aperture software. These software are known to be used for image editing. As for now, we know that the Leaf Aptus-II 8 camera back will be sold at the price of $19,008 and it is already available to be ordered.
