Good news for those who loved Nikon’s first projector in a camera, Nikon is planning to release a follow-up to that particular product that will be cheaper and smaller than the first one.

The Nikon S1000pj is the first digital camera to implement a project in itself. The camera was well-sold and mostly well-received except the fact that consumers expected better photographic quality from the camera since it was priced at $430. The new model is said to use Himax Technologies’ LCoS pico-projector component just like the Nikon S1000pj. With this feature, the camera can display projected images as well as connect to a PC.

As of now we know that the new upgraded model from Nikon might be out by August and before then which is in a couple of weeks, Nikon will release an official statement. If by the end of July, Nikon doesn’t make anything official then most likely the camera won’t be released by August.
