Great news for Nokia as the brand is embarking on a new journey with a new CEO. Due to the small decline in sales, Nokia has decided to revamp the company. Stephen Elop, the new chief executive, is the perfect example of that. The man is no stranger in the world of technology or rather the technology market; he was a senior Microsoft executive prior to holding the new Nokia post.

Nokia, over the years, have not had that much good luck when it comes to sales and profits, and even market share. Nokia, a Finnish company, has been in the news for a few months now, but the telecoms company refused to comment on who will be its new appointed boss. Mr Elop will be taking over on September 21 and going would be Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo.

Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo was rumored to have been sacked from the mobile phones manufacturer due to the huge apparent drop in profits by Nokia in July. On his side, Mr Kallasvuo commented that resigning has been on his mind for a while now. Meanwhile, news of the appointment of Mr Elop has excited the Helsinki Stock Exchange as the Nokia shares went up to 2pc.
