Panasonic announces updates for DMC-G1, GH1 & GF1

Three cameras from Panasonic have now been announced to receive firmware update, according to a press release from the manufacturer. The update will provide these cameras with a performance enhancement and expanded compatibility.
As soon as the update is downloaded and install in the camera’s system, owners can expect an improved autofocus performance with third-party lenses and recognition of the new 14-42mm kit zoom. The DMC-GF1 will receive the Firmware ver.1.2 for DMC-GF1 consisting of an operation menu for image stabilizer that will be added to the menu options when the LUMIX G VARIO 14-42 mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / MEGA O.I.S. (H-FS014042) is attached. The DMC-GH1 will receive the Firmware ver.1.3 which will give an improved AF performance in movie recording with LEICA DG MACRO-ELMARIT 45mm / F2.8 ASPH. / MEGA O.I.S. (H-ES045).
