Panasonic launch of the LUMIX FZ40 and the LUMIX FZ100

Panasonic unveils today its newest addition to its popular LUMIX FZ-Series digital cameras, the LUMIX FZ40 and the LUMIX FZ100. The LUMIX DMC-FZ40 hybrid digital camera has a powerful 24x optical zoom and creative manual operations to enable professional photographers as well as amateurs the chance to take sharp and High Definition (HD) videos. This 14.1-megapixel model consists of a 25mm ultra-wide angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens and a new image processing system for better picture and video quality. It also includes the Intelligent Resolution technology to enable photographers to focus on finer details. The Sonic Speed Auto Focus (AF) and high-speed start-up are definitely an added advantage.
The Panasonic LUMIX FZ100 features a new 14-megapixel CMOS sensor which allows full 1920 x 1080 HD video in the AVCHD format and a fast 11 frames-per-second with full resolution. The lens is a 24x 25-600mm f/2.8-5.2 (35mm equivalent) Leica DC Vario-Elmarit zoom with Panasonic’s Power O.I.S. image stabilization, with easy-to-use features.
