The BlackBerry Torch has been cut in half, literally. RIM’s most recent smartphone that was released by AT&T has had its price cut into half by the mobile network provider. The second-largest U.S. mobile-phone carrier has decided to reduce the price of the BlackBerry Torch in just three months after its release.

We all know what this means; the BlackBerry Torch failed to light up RIM. This is a sad case for RIM, which has wanted to secure its number one spot again in the smartphone’s market. AT&T has reduced the price to $99.99 that customers can get the BlackBerry Torch for with a two-year contract. Initially, it was available for $199.99 when the device first came out in August.

Experts claim that the BlackBerry Torch is available for even lesser prices elsewhere especially on Amazon where the RIM smartphone is being sold for less than 1 cent; unbelievable, but true. So, if you are interested to purchase the BlackBerry Torch at a low cost on contract then now is your chance to do so.
