Samsung has just unveiled five new lenses that are meant for the Samsung NX camera. Samsung said that these new lenses will be released this year itself. The new Samsung NX lenses will be added to Samsung NX10’s other lenses including the Pancake, Standard Zoom and Tele Zoom lenses. These lenses were launched during the CES event in January.

Based on an official statement, a Samsung representative said that Samsung is inspired to create new lines of cameras and lenses that would change the way people think and feel about photography. Samsung has also created a detailed research on what consumers want from their cameras. According to Samsung, more consumers are looking for compact and stylish products of high performance, while retaining a focus on value. Samsung has managed to follow-up these demands throughout the development of their lens technology for the NX10 and forthcoming NX range. The new lenses that will be released later on this year are a Standard Zoom Lens – 18-55mm, f/3.5-5.6, Non OIS; a Compact Zoom Lens – 20-50mm, f/3.5-5.6; a Wide Pancake Lens – 20mm, f/2.8; a Super Zoom Lens – 18-200mm, f/3.5-6.3 OIS and a Macro Lens – 60mm, f/2.8.
