Sigma upgrades DP1x and DP2s

At the PMA, Sigma upgraded its two models, the DP1x and the DP2s and at the same time, Sigma announced their plan to re-launch the SD15. The DP1x will now have the True II imaging processor and a better and faster autofocusing algorithm. It will have the same controls as present on the DP2s and there will be an easier menu and quick access button on the camera that can be used for the frequently used presets. As you probably already know the DP1x features a 14-megapixel and this upgrade is expected to make the camera work much better and faster.
Meanwhile, the DP2s now has a new AF routine, simpler, easier-to-read rear controls and a new power-saving mode. Other than that, Sigma’s SD15 made an appearance again after quite some time (Photokina 2008, to be exact) and while this camera is considered a real DSLR, it features the same 14-megapixel Foveon sensor as the other models upgraded. While these details have been announced, we are still waiting for the release dates and the prices of these Sigma cameras.
