Sony’s new sub-compact camera line set for July release

This coming July, Sony will release a new line of cameras which is set to cater for the point-and-shooter enthusiasts who fancy pro quality output coming from a compact type of camera. The Sony’s camera line includes the Alpha NEX-5 that comes with a price of $650 and also NEX-3 with a price of $550.
Both cameras are designed with inter-changeable lenses which are similar to the digital SLRs. Sony claims that these cameras are the smallest and lightest in the world which we will know once it releases. It has the similarity in terms of size and feel to the micro four-thirds format with other products by Olympus and Panasonic but the NEX models do not use a smaller image sensor than SLRs. They are using an APS-C size sensor to improve on its image quality.
The NEX models comes with available lenses which include a 16mm f 2.8 with a price of $250, 18mm-55mm f3.5-f 5.6 ($300) wide-to medium telephoto and also 18mm-200mm f 3.5-f 6.3 ($800). According to Sony, the Alpha SLR lenses works well with an adapter and comes with an adjustable focus while shooting high-definition video.
