Great news for all those who have been eagerly awaiting anything on the most anticipated phone/playstation; Sony Ericsson might just make a new announcement by next week. Since the Sony Ericsson PlayStation phone has been rumored, the online web has gone crazy into thinking when the brand will officially announce the new revolution product.

Sony Ericsson went on to play with people’s mind by toying the idea of the PlayStation Phone. The manufacturer neither confirmed nor denied the existence of this phone, which made the online community frenzy.

The latest on Sony Ericsson’s PlayStation phone is the company has invited a French blogger to a special event. The invitation card was shown with same logos that were spotted on the PlayStation Phone. The special event will be held by Sony Ericsson on the 9th of December, which is next Thursday. So, hold your horses geek, and let’s wait for the official word from the masters itself!

Apple iPhone Growing Popular in Europe

Apple would definitely be glad hearing this piece of news; Europeans love its iPhones. Despite the fact that the Apple iPhone was released a couple of months back, phone users in Europe seem to really like the phone as it has been seen that the number of European users using the iPhones is certainly growing. Could be the word of mouth magic or the availability of the phone everywhere, people seem to love this Apple phone in Europe.

Over in Europe, the Apple iPhone is available on several carriers, one can say more than found on a number of carriers here. Aside from the contract version, the unlock iPhone is also widely available in Europe for those hoping to use it on a prepaid card. It could also be foreigners buying the unlock version and sending it home to their friends or relatives where the phone has yet to be released. Not forgetting the cheaper price that it might be available for in Europe. Nevertheless, this does show that for Apple fans the price certainly doesn’t matter!

Acer Liquid Metal smartphone to release soon

Acer has just unveiled its latest Android handset, the Liquid Metal smartphone. Now that the phone has been announced, reports of several mobile providers releasing the device are already doing the rounds. Acer’s latest smartphone might just be released soon in the United States.

The upcoming Acer Liquid Metal smartphone is a GSM phone which makes the phone eligible to be released by only GSM carriers in the United States. So far, the president of Acer’s smartphone unit has claimed that the brand has not yet made its choice. He also said that Acer is waiting to hear from these GSM carriers.

Meanwhile the latest Acer GSM phone, the Liquid Metal is powered by an 800 MHz Qualcomm Second Generation Snapdragon processor. It comes with a 3.6-inch, WVGA (800 x 480) capacitive touchscreen and a 5-megapixel camera. It runs on Android OS 2.2 (Froyo). It comes with WiFi and Bluetooth. So, let’s see what carrier will be releasing this phone?

While AT&T is heavily promoting its latest Windows Phone 7 device, the HTC HD7, other providers aren’t far behind in the race. The holiday season is nearing and the market is gearing up for the biggest sales of the year. For that, exciting deals is very important.

AT&T is currently offering the HTC HD7 with a buy-one-get-one-free tactic. On the other hand, we have T-Mobile who’s offering 2 HTC HD7 smartphones at the price of $200. Currently the best online retailer, Amazon, isn’t far behind by offering the phone for just $50.

Starting tomorrow, these prices will get working and these HTC HD7 providers are hoping for a successful sale. The phone is being offered with a two-year contract. Sources claim that if ordered on Amazon, customers will have to wait about two weeks before getting the phone. To be on the safe side, it is better to order the phone from the official providers.

Sony Ericsson has been launching several smartphones this year and very few have managed to strike a chord among consumers. Today we take a look at the latest one that the handphones manufacturer has to offer, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro happens to be the QWERTY version of the brand’s Vivaz range of smartphones. The Vivaz Pro smartphone comes with a 3.2-inch touch screen display that features a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. It allows for easy upload to Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

Sony Ericsson’s Vivaz Pro comes with an 8-megapixel camera. There are other interesting features on this phone including the face detection technology, image stabilization, geo-tagging, and smile detection. It has a slide-out keyboard and comes with a VGA output. With this phone, Sony Ericsson is attempting to definitely make its phones more tempting to different types of users.

This may come as a surprise to many; Verizon has just introduced Motorola’s Droid 2 Global. Certainly not what is expected from a mobile network provider, but it was a nice surprise nonetheless. The device from Motorola is already available for preorder from Verizon at the price of $199.99 with a 2-year signed contract. Let’s see what Motorola offers with its new Droid 2 Global.

Verizon revealed the Motorola DROID 2 Global on its Facebook page, the official one. This still surprise us as to how many popular brands would rather go on social networking sites to launch new devices than release a press letter to news outlets.

The Motorola DROID 2 Global is said to be the fastest around, working on a 1.2GHz processor. It runs on Android 2.2 and comes with Adobe Flash Player. Several features are on this phone including the ability to make and receive calls, surfing the net and checking for emails. These features can be done overseas as well. Microsoft’s Kin One & Two released again by Verizon

This must be like a reincarnation for the Kin One and Two phones; Verizon now has these phones on sale with new names and new price tags. If you remember correctly, the Microsoft-released Kin One and Two was branded as a failure by experts. The problem was the hype was a bit too much surrounding the phones and when they released, expectations weren’t met. Some considered the Microsoft Kin phones huge letdowns. Well, enough about the old story let’s find out what’s new on these Verizon phones.

It was earlier rumored that these “failed” Microsoft phones will be released again and this was recently confirmed by Verizon. The phones are now known as the Kin Onem and Kin Twom. As it was previously mentioned and hyped about, these Kin phones are basically for the pleasure of teenagers. This might be as they focus heavily on social networking sites.

Verizon is offering the Kin Onem and Kin Twom phones on a two-year contract priced at $19.99 and $49.99 respectively. The Kin Twom is being offered by Verizon with a buy one get one deal, which sounds interesting for many. So, does the reincarnation of these phones interest you all over?

Cricket releasing Kyocera Rio for $130 without contract

Cricket has recently announced that it has added a new featurephone to its lineup and that lucky phone is none other than the Kyocera Rio. At first, word spread that the Kyocera Rio is the same as the Kyocera Zio, but Cricket said these two models are mildly different from each other. The Kyocera Zio happens to be an Android-powered device. Let’s check out what Cricket’s latest phone has to offer.

The Kyocera Rio, which has been released by Cricket, comes with a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen that features a resolution of 240 × 320 pixels. Like all phones around, this Rio smartphone too comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera. There’s a microSD card slot that can support cards up to 16GB, which is alright for normal phone usage.

Circket’s Kyocera Rio comes with many features including Bluetooth and an optional trackpad. The fact that this phone has an optional trackpad has shocked many as based on its $130 price; it’s hard to find phones with this special feature. It also has a 3.5 mm headset jack.
