It is a 10.1-megapixel CCD sensor (1/1.7”) that comes with 7.1x wide angle optical zoom lens (28-200mm F2.8-5.6). Apparently Nikon has reduced the megapixels in this camera so that it can attain a much better low light performance.
Let’s get right into the features. The Nikon Coolpix P7000 is a 10.1-megapixel point-and-shoot camera. It is able to film 720p (24fps) quality videos. It comes with an optical viewfinder with diopter adjustment dial. It also comes with an ISO level of up to 12,800. The camera comes with a nice look that will surely please those who have wanted a DSLR camera, as it looks like a mini DSLR camera. The Nikon Coolpix P7000 will be released later on this month at an estimated price of $500.

Canon has finally unveiled two new camcorders named XF105 and XF100. These two models are small professional camcorders from Canon. These compact camcorders are more suitable for mobile HD video capture. It boasts of MPEG-2 4:2:2 50 mbps recording.
They come with infrared and stereoscopic 3D shooting capabilities, which will definitely take filming to a whole new level. Not forgetting the DIGIC DV III Image Processor and a Full HD CMOS sensor (1920×1080 resolution) video that they feature.
These camcorders might have almost the same features, but only one of them has support for the HD-SDI output and that’s the Canon XF105. They are able to multiple bit rates and resolutions. They come with dual XLR inputs for external audio sources. There’s also a built-in stereo microphone on the camcorders. Both of these camcorder support 16-bit PCM audio at 48 kHz. The Canon XF105 and XF100 Camcorders will be available early next year. Unfortunately, prices have now been released yet.

Good news for all those looking to purchase new cameras or lenses for this coming holiday, Olympus will reportedly be getting ready its DSLRs and lenses to be released for the holidays this year. Olympus will release what it calls the world’s smallest zoom lens, its 600mm zoom lens. The brand will also announce its new DSLR, the 12-megapixel Olympus E-5 DSLR that comes with a new TruePic 5 processor, records 720p video at 30 frames per second and a mic jack.
Olympus will reportedly be releasing the Olympus E-P2, E-5 DSLR before the end of this year. Apparently, Olympus will be announcing these coming devices tomorrow. The M-Zuiko ED 75-300mm f/4.8-6.7 (150-600mm equivalent at 35mm) is also rumored to be releasing. It weighs 15.16 ounces and measures 2.75 inches in diameter and 4.56 inches long. These new lenses will be able to record in HD without making any extraordinary noise. These will be sold for about $900. There will also be the M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f/4.0-5.6 (80-300mm at 35mm) lens which will be available for $300.

The latest brand Olympus recently announced its FE-4050 and FE-5050 digital cameras. This announcement comes after Olympus announced another camera, the mju-7050 digital camera.
The Olympus FE-4050 and FE-5050 digital cameras come in a nice and stylish design. Let’s talk more about the cameras individually. Starting with the FE-4050 digital camera, it features a 12-megapixel CCD Sensor. The digital camera is equipped with a 4x optical zoom lens with 27mm wide angle. Meanwhile, the Olympus FE-5050 is a 14-megapixel digital camera. It comes with the TruePicIII image processing engine. Not forgetting, its 2.7-inch LCD display. It also has a 5x zoom lens with 26mm wide angle.
These Olympus digital cameras feature 6 Magic Filters that are used to add special effects to the shots taken. Also present on the cameras are other features notably the iAUTO function that helps to analyze the current composition and then it optimizes camera settings automatically. Those who have seen the camera’s details claim that it is just like the Panasonic HDC-HS700 but with the 3D lens on the front.
For now, several details concerning the first 3D consumer camcorder have been released and among them, we now know that the camcorder can shoot 1080p 3D at 60 fps. Nevertheless, experts say that Panasonic will definitely properly unveil the camcorder next week in Tokyo. Panasonic all along has been very excited for its “World’s First 3D Shooting Camcorder”.
